Just a quick note for those who may have seen the flooding in Houston. It's about as bad as it can get, but I live 60 miles south of Houston, and we were fortunate enough to miss a lot of the rain. Unfortunately all that rain water in Houston has to get out to the Gulf of Mexico somehow, and a bunch of it is rolling down the river to us. We are an island, the grocery stores and fuel stations have not been able get in to our area, as you can imagine, the shelves are bare with no expectation of when they will be filled. Luckily I have lots of stuff in the freezer, refrigerator, and cabinet. The peak of the river flow should hit us Thursday, and the city is telling us that we should be fine....they are evacuating everyone to our area, hopefully that means something! Anyway, for the moment, we are fine.
