I was adopted when I was six by Richard and Julia Kutner after my birth parents were killed in an armed robbery. I’ve always considered myself very lucky for this. Most people aren’t interested in adopting the older kids. They want the babies. Not that babies aren’t great or anything but I could have easily bounced around from foster home to foster home until I was eighteen. I didn’t. I kind of have this...connection with other adoptees. Like you. I admire your mother greatly for taking you in and I was happy to babysit. I’ve considered adopting but it really hasn’t taken off.

Kids! I love kids. My favorite patients are children. They’re just so interesting and…well, fun. You’ve never known unconditional love until you talk to kids. I actually thought about making pediatrics my specialty.
Career
I really enjoy my job. Before I went into diagnostics, I was in sports medicine and rehab and…well, it didn’t work out. I came to New Jersey to be involved in House’s Fellowship and that was the start of it all. I work hard, and I enjoy my work.
Friends
Friends are really important to me. I’d like to consider myself a pretty loyal guy and when I make friends - real friends - they’re kinda stuck with me for life.
Music
I’ve got a pretty eclectic taste in music. It’s all over the place. I don’t play anything, but I like to listen and…well, I really, really like karaoke. …I’m not very good.
