Selkie Peak - Tuesday Evening

May 03, 2011 17:12

George had never gotten used to the odd silence of Fandom. Even after not quite two years, he was a child of the Lower City, and anything other than the constant noise of thousands of people living too closely together seemed unnatural. He had come to appreciate it though. Appreciate and enjoy the rustle of trees, the birdsong, the crash of the waves into the beach.

He settled himself on Selkie Peak, feeling a bit odd being there without Kyle alongside, but the view across the the island and its new surroundings was the best there, and if he were going to make his decision, t’would be best to be able to see what he was thinking about giving up.

Kyle was going home to try t’make his world better and win their war. George would’ve followed him if Connor hadn’t forbade it, but since the man had, he didn’t see much point in staying safe at Fandom when he could be doing the same in his own City. The Rogue wasn’t a good one, and the people of the Lower City deserved someone who’d watch out for them. He was still a bit too young to vie for the position, but that wouldn’ always be true, and t’was never too early to start making allies. George was going to need allies. Especially if his mam never spoke to him again after learning he was coming home to join the Rogue’s Court.

[Poor neglected King of Thieves-to-be. Open if anyone's in the area, sure]
