Ron and Hermione - (yes, it's another hp entry)
found this in an old post from way back when OotP first came out. You know, I really feel at times that a large part of the current views in fandom, particularly shipping, were formed right there in the love thread of cosforums. And to be honest, I'm proud I was there right along with the rest of my shipmates and all the others, just being a part of that.

You see, there are a lot of problems with this scene in my opinion. Really there is a silent question here. Why oh why didn't JKR use this to have Ron loudly proclaim his love for Hermione? And instead he's talking about Luna?!? What is going on here? In fact, I may need to make an essay all about this bit. It's too juicy to pass up. I'm surprised I didn't do it back then. Pending a bit of research, it'd be interesting to see the reactions to this, as it coud definitely be yet another point against R/Hr, and a rather big one at that, since the whole things seems to be based around Ron's rather hateful acts of jealousy in GoF. That and the quotes; which of course are ambiguous, something that was cemented today by Jo's new rumor rebuttal. I can only say I wasn't that surprised when the R/Hr ship went back on it's word and are now saying the quotes are ambiguous, or in some cases pathetically picking and choosing which are ambiguous and which aren't.
All I have to say about it is though, if JKR plans on R/Hr then she has a lot more willpower than me in resisting this scene for a confession, even if Hermione was knocked out. =P
