If you want to give it a shot, we bought plastic tubes that electric cords fit into. You can gather a bunch into one tube and it protects them from getting chewed on or tangled. We got ours at Ikea, but I think they have them at other stores too. Don't know if they would help, but wanted to mention that they've helped us a lot.
