TC Jester

Kirk, Marc, and I visited the course at TC Jester this past Thursday, and what a game it was. My drives are at times erratic, my putts consistently miss the basket on any slightly challenging (read, long distance) shot, yet my mid range approach shots are eerily accurate. Ever since I picked up Innova's mid range Spider my mid game has been insanely good. The disc has a deep fade at the end, slashing down hard to the left quickly at the end of its flight. Keeping that in mind, I've been imagining the apex of the curve to be somewhere in front of, a bit elevated, and to the right of the basket and focus all my attention on that imaginary spot. I rear back and hurl the disc at that blot of air, and invariably, the disc lands just to the right of the basket and rolls around it, coming to a rest no more than 5 or 6 feet from my target. This led me to have my best game ever on this course after birdie-ing (is there a verb form for this? Too bad, I'm using it!) the first hole and bogeying 7, ending at par! 27 tosses on a 9 hole course, my home course at that! This tied my best game out at Agnest Moffit, but created a new low bar for me at this one.

Now, if only I can get my drives and putts to balance out...
