She takes his hand again, running along the street as they watch the parade. Oh, it really is beautiful. With all the time-travelling and alien planets it's easy to forget just how wonderful Earth can be.

"Can you believe it? Me? Donna! In Rio! It's crazy. But brilliant."

"It's really brilliant! I love it," he says giving her hand a squeeze.

She feels like a kid in a candy store, she really does. There's so much to see and take in. She keeps hold of his hand, dragging him along as she explores.

"I didn't go to currency exchange, but I did have some money left over from our last time in London," he holds a few pound notes.

"Or~ you could sonic a cash machine." Oh Donna, such a wicked grin. "I won't tell if you don't!"

"I'm trying not to make a habit of that. I could be wanted in so many universes and planets for that," he says, shaking his head.

[noblexcompanion]

"No more than any of the other crimes we seem to end up committing. Breaking and entering, theft, explosions, occasional genocide, you know, usual days' work for us." She gives him the puppy dog eyes.

The banks aren't going to miss a little teeny bit of money. Well~ they might, but still... shopping!

"Genocide," he shivers. He knows he's a hypocrite. That word just brings him down. But, he has to keep his mood up. It's Rio! He's here with Donna!

"Well, this once, but never again. Granted, I realize that the real...they're currency, is worth less in Pounds," he thinks out loud, going down the street, looking for a cash machine.

No getting depressed, Doctor. Depression is banned from this trip. It's Rio. It's brilliant.

She links her arm with his, giving him a grin that is just twinkling with mischief. They deserve a little fun after... well, almost dying.

He spots a cash machine, nearby and he aims his sonic screwdriver discreetly.

Who knows how many Reals are spitting out of the poor machine.

Hey, more Reals means more shopping. Donna isn't going to complain about that. Still, she does have to giggle at the money spilling out of the machine.

She swoops in to take it discreetly. Being arrested would be bad. Very bad. "Right then, lead the way, Doctor!"

"Rio's market, the Saara, is not too far from here. We can get almost anything and everything here," he relays to his companion. "The TARDIS told me a lot about it, before we got here," he logs in the information.

"I think you just said two most beautiful words there, Spaceman. Rio. Market." Hey, you can take the Earth Girl out of Chiswick, but you can't take Chiswick out of the Earth Girl. Shopping is one of the most glorious hobbies ever.

She takes hold of his hand so they don't get seperated - well... she takes hold of his hand just because she likes holding his hand these days.

"They say havaianas, their version of flip flops. I don't know where I'd wear them, but they seem like they're pretty cool," he says, mentioning it, as they walk along.

"New flip flops? Well, you know what that means! Beach trip!!" She grins. She loves beaches almost as much as shopping and spas. Although, less keen on the spas since the whole Midnight incident.

"Oh! We should get Gramps a present while we're here!" Not quite as exciting as a lump of moon rock or a screw from the crashed space ship of Sarlana, but still, gifts are gifts.

"That would be good," he nods, seeing a stand selling banana chips. "Oh a snack won't hurt," he says out loud, grabbing a Real or two and purchasing a bag.
