Yesterday passed perfectly uneventfully. This morning, however, brought surprises.
It seems that Aizen has taken it upon himself to remind me of times past through his gift of an extravagant calligraphy desk. Whatever shall I do with the thing...?
Then Renji delivered a greeting. Aside from the sarcasm of the note (typical of him) I found it quite acceptable. I am pleased that he is practicing and will come for calligraphy practice soon.
On January 26, Ichimaru Gin joined my companies that are making repairs on the Sekkiseki wall at Second Division. The only remarkable thing to say about the day was that... nothing remarkable happened. The man seemed to be pleasantly helpful and his work was well done. ...Highly suspicious, however no fault was found.
Tonight is another exercise in trust.
Despite the fact that I have only had seven sessions of practice before the monster's invasion, and two since because of the subsequent riots and other demands on my time, I am impressed by a desire to quickly discover the limits to the power of this precious artifact.
For tonight's experiments I believe the risk to be negligible.
