Userpic has nothing to do with post; I just wanted to see John's silly face

Grimm! Yay! Yay yay yay. I hate it when shows take breaks in the middle of seasons. But I am very happy when they come back on, especially when they have been RENEWED! (Congrats Grimm & POI!)
[Sort-of spoilers for Grimm:] Point the first: So, what, when someone moves to Portland they start wearing plaid? The amount of plaid is getting ridiculous (I think I have said this before...). I grew up in effing logging country and I did not see this much plaid. Oh, Show.
#2: Rosalie is totally adorbs. I squealed when it turned out she was staying, because I was crossing my fingers for it. It doesn't hurt that the apothecary reminds me of The Magic Box in Buffy; I was very nostalgic. Also, her brother's house was wicked cool. And she and Monroe have a good vibe, I think. Maybe Monroe just vibes with everyone (in his own, awkward way).
#3: Speaking of Monroe, MOAR VESTS PLZ. Vests just kill me. Vests, in fact, are one of the only reasons I watch The Mentalist, because Jane annoys the hell out of me, but his vests... Right. So. Monore, put a vest on more often.
#4: I still do not get Juliette. In the last ep, she was all "Aaaaah I was kidnapped and maybe dating a detective is more dangerous than I thought" and in this one she is like "Gimme a gun!" I mean, the transition was sort of... abrupt, especially after how emotionally worked up she seemed before. I just... I'm not feeling it. I feel like I know more about Rosalie and I only met her half an episode ago!
#5: Was Sgt. Wu eating a COUCH CUSHION? Ew.
So Thursday was not a very happy day for me. I decided to take a long shower and use lots of smelly bath things as some therapy. The shower was nice and relaxing, and the bath things were nice and smelly, and I got out and grabbed my towel from the hook. I shook it, as is my habit, because once there was a spider in it.
Guess what?
Yes. Spider. Big, fat, black one.
I sort of yelped and did an awkward dance around the bathroom to reach my glasses, then the door, while staying as far away from the spider as I could and dripping all over everything in the process.. Once I got to the door, I opened it to call the cat in to eat the spider.* He promptly came in, looked at it, and then gave me a "Yeah, so?" look and tried to leave. I locked him in with me and pointed at the spider until he finally took an interest.
It crunched when he nommed it. Ewwwwwww.
So a good amount of relaxing that I had accrued from the shower was negated by the spider. That's just the sort of week it's been. Or month, really.
Sigh.
*I either take spiders outside or have the cat eat them. I would have taken this one outside, but I was wet and unclothed, and I figure it gives the cat extra protein.
