There were so few episodes left by this point, but the genius writers at ATWT decided it was a good idea to waste one of them on the crappy Chris storyline. Reid is in it, but no Luke, and it's really hard to watch this clip without wanting to claw my eyes out, so forgive me if this recap isn't the most fun one ever

I had such mixed emotions around this time. I was so angry with the direction the show was going, but so thrilled to have John Dixon back in town. He was my favorite character from the old days (which is part of the reason why I loved Reid right off the bat!). I remember seeing a scene later on with Reid, Bob and John all in white lab coats in Chris' room and I longed to have it as an 8x10 autographed by all three actors!! ♥

There was no shortage for the funny in this recap, so thank you. It helped to get over the pain of pounding my head on my desk at the idiocy of the show content!!

Awww, that poor kid. As much as I adore John Dixon, I think I would trade in his guest appearances at the end to have Luke and Reid just have ONE night of sex. Even just implied!!

I do love that scene with Katie though. I think Terri did a wonderful job of expressing the pain and hurt and terror that must be going through the character's mind at that moment. I think I remember an interview where Eric was very impressed when taping that scene with her.

You know, it was cute to see how Reid and Chris mirrored John and Bob (for those of us who were there for Version 1, back in the day), and I think, if the show wasn't canceled, they would have done a great job in building up a great rivalry/friendship between them. It was starting right there at the end, and I know Eric really enjoyed working with Danny on those scenes. It's a shame TPTB destroyed all that hard work with Chris pissing on the COS job and totally disgracing Reid's sacrifice. Ugh! I don't think I can watch the end again.

I'm glad the Lure Big Bang 2011 will be around just in time for the re-cap ending, so we can bask in the glow of happily ever after Luke/Reid like a soothing balm.

Ah, we only have 3 more episodes to recap. We're ending it with the ILU, and not going even a tiny bit further. None of us want to watch that ending again. I'm sure you understand.

Yes, I completely understand. It was hard enough the first time around. I seriously don't want to put myself back into that mind frame again. Such a waste of amazing characters and story potential.

Yep, in the interview on Kate Davies' blog, he called that one of his favorite scenes, and talked about how she left handprints on his chest from whaling on him so hard.

I remember being jealous that she got to see his bare chest when he lifted up his shirt to show her the marks after the scene was over. :)
