Grand romantic gestures FTW!

But then, the stupid. Oh, you silly men.

Also scrunchie, LOL!

The scrunchie kills me! How does Reid know what a scrunchie is? And has anyone even worn one since the 80s? It makes me think of a horrified teen Reid getting some high school girl who wants to be his hag flinging her hair at him and telling him to braid or something. IDEK.

These boys need to stop being stupid and get it together already. :|

My heart just stopped when Reid was staring at the both of them. You could just hear all the horrible, horrible thoughts going through his head. "I'm so glad I just quit my job for you when you're back together with your boyfriend!" Oh, man.

I CAN'T EVEN DEAL WITH THE THOUGHT THAT DR. REID OLIVER -- SAVIOR OF SAVIORS, HEALER OF THE BLIND -- QUIT HIS JOB TO BE IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH LUKE SNYDER. LUKE, HE CARES ABOUT YOU THAT MUCH.

I mean, let's think of all the times that Noah was self-sacrificing and did wonderful things for Luke. Oh, wait.

Seriously, the thought that Reid did that for Luke is so wonderfully overwhelming that Luke finally has a man in his life who is PUTTING HIM FIRST. And, unfortunately, he doesn't really know it.

OMG Luke was totally planning on keeping Reid warm at night before this. Waah! :(

I KNOW, OMG. THEY BOTH LOOK SO DEPRESSED. COME ON, BOYS.

"Did you finally manage to get yourself fired?"

IF ANYONE DESERVES A PUNCH? IT'S THIS MAN RIGHT HERE.

Yes folks, Noah was planning on ignoring Luke for a few ( ... )

I snorted. Legit.

I love Luke and Lucinda. They're like Team Badass. But all I remember is screaming at them to get back to the Luke and Reid show.

Luke is so fierce there! I bet she doesn't let too many people boss her around like Luke does. I love how he harangued her into making up with Lily after that thing that didn't happen. Team Badass!

Enjoyed your thoughts, bb! Glad you enjoyed the recap. Stupid boys need to get it on already!

I absolutely loved when Luke just snapped and yelled at Lucinda. That was awesome. He went all STFU Grandmother and stop messing in other people's relationships when it's NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. Let THEM work it out. Which I took as his way of taking a shot at Bob for messing in their personal lives (though he never blamed Bob-o previous to this).

I love that Luke stands up to Lucinda. 1] because he's right 2] he's so adorable as a grown up. I totally agree that Lucinda usuallly squashes her dissenters like a bug; I think Elizabeth Hubbard played the scene as though she admires Luke as well as loves him. Plus, she totally noticed that he was upset about something. [unlike Holden in his scene with Luke]

Okay, the missing scene with Holden. Such a great dad to not bother to tell his kids ahead of time that he's marrying Molly that day. Jerk. I still love that Luke is supportive of him.

The infamous "gauntlet" episode? fandeck June 9 2011, 05:33:53 UTC
Reid's "I guess so" breaks my heart every single time. They were both so amazing in this episode.

The spoilers were often so exaggerated--and I remember us all being so annoyed about the “gauntlet" and “Noah's return" spoiler--which never seemed to materialize. I have always thought this episode was for those spoilers. And they did disappear after the week this episode aired.

Spoiler: Noah realizes where he went wrong--“I haven’t always been a model boyfriend" (Understatement of the decade!)

Spoiler: Noah lays down the gauntlet--“Do you want me to walk out of your life so you can feel like a victim OR do you want me to stay so I can be your second choice?" (A lame challenge I know, but hey it's Noah.)

Spoiler: Noah's return has Luke in turmoil (Noah RETURNS to Al's to tell Luke that Reid did quit for Luke which clearly puts Luke into a major turmoil.)

OK, clearly I have watched this episode way too many times!

Thanks for the rewatch! It's awesome.

His voice totally breaks and he is so saddddddd! They kill me. :(

Oh man, those spoilers. I remember being filled with so much glee when all the Nuke-friendly ones fell by the wayside, one after another. Hahahaha! Team Reid's where it was at.

Happy you're enjoying the rewatch! :D

That teddy bear! Is Jacob a werewolf baby or what? How does an infant rip the stuffing out of a toy like that?

And I can't watch that last scene with Luke calling Reid without thinking of snicks' comment about Noah's unusual acting choices: "Meanwhile, a devastated Luke sits down and starts to tear up as Noah makes a truly bizarre head motion behind him and walks away. It looked like he smelled his own fart and had to get away from it quickly."

God, I think I miss snicks' recaps/liveblogs almost as much as the show. Sigh.

Also, boys, get your acts together. You're making me all sad-like. :(

So much love for snicks! I'd say he ruined that scene for me, but it's more accurate to say he enhanced it. A lot of times when watching the show live I'd be upset about something and I'd read his recap and feel so much better.
