The hospital tour is coming up on Thursdays rewatch. Luke and Reid are very couply in their irritation with each other, and Luke has that "What the hell is up with you today?" attitude towards his apparent boyfriend. After Luke tracked down Noah in Old Towne, he returned to the hospital to see if Reid wanted to grab dinner later so they "could talk about things" (Luke's words as he shyly asked Reid, just a little scared that Reid would still be unsure of where they stood).
Since I don't think Reid was working that day, they both took off to eat. Reid was a bit hesitant since the ultimatum was all he could think about at that moment. But as soon as Luke smiled at him with that sparkling white, sunshine-bright smile, Reid put it out of his mind for the rest of the day.
They went to eat where the dinner date started a bit awkward just because they both suddenly realized how real this was now, this thing between them. And a little part of each still couldn't believe that he was ON A DATE with Mr. Snyder/Dr. Oliver. After Reid joked that he was glad that Noah punched him in the nose and not the mouth ("Imagine the horror of sipping my food through a straw"), they grew comfortable enough to talk about a lot of things--getting to know each other and all that.
After dinner, Luke invited Reid to his house, saying no one was home. Reid's ears (and other parts) perked up at that thought but they really did nothing but talk some more on the couch (I love when they sit on that couch).
And then they made plans to call later. And there was a chaste goodnight kiss ("Let's finish what we started before Bob-o interrupted us," Reid said) that led to some heavy kissing until Luke broke it up and playfully pushed Reid out the door.
And in the drive back to Katie's, Reid thought about Bob's words to him ("I can't lose him," he whispered to himself as he drove, surprising himself a little by what--or who, in this case--he thought of first. "And I can't lose it.") That's when he decided then and there to come up with a plan to keep both Luke and his job.
Luke was all dreamy for the rest of the night and even laughed into his pillow as he thought about him and Reid as a couple, as boyfriends!
And because Reid had acted so sweet all day, Luke was taken aback by his distant behavior at the meeting. And Reid was acting distant because he'd never been in such a predicament before--at least not in matters related to the heart.
And that's what I think happened, I guess; haven't thought too much about it. :D
