Of course anything can happen with pilots, but THIS IS VERY EXCITING!! At the very least, this gets filmed and someone puts it on YouTube, right? *hopes* And yay for Zach Gilford and Sean Maher, too!

Thanks for the scoop :)

Since the Amy Coyne pilot doesn't seem to be available anywhere on this WWW thing (usenet either, it seems), I wouldn't get my hopes up too much. :(((

Does this mean they're probably gonna cancel Off the Map and I don't have to watch that to get a Zach Gilford fix? \o/

I'm not sure how much more of ESS is in it, but I could probably live forever on the wee clip of him and MATT FUCKING BOMER. Gah, so much hot/pretty on one little screen :P

I like Zach, but I'm not going near Shonda Rimes for him, so hopefully he'll get to move on :)

Same here! They are both such awesome actors, not to mention v. v. hot! :D

Oh god, it's a SR show? No wonder everyone hates it... I couldn't make myself watch an ep yet.

Thank you for this information!!!! I would grin like this :D if Eric gets back on my TV! I do hope if he does get work he doesn't have to pull up his home stakes and move to LA.

In another ATWT note, I see that the original Liberty has been cast in a zombie show for The CW. She's been on "Lights Out". I wonder what that means for that show and her role.

Ohhh, glad to hear it! I love Meredith. Always thought she has what it takes to have a good TV career.

I agree with you. She had a co-starring turn on the first season of Royal Pains, as well. It appears that casting directors like her, too.

Oh, I'm actually so very torn about this. I mean, first of all, YAY! But on the other hand...Fox comedy. I'm such a TV snob. (And it's unclear if this would be a regular/recurring role, although probably.) And then I'm back to YAY!

Ugh, torn about this myself. I'm happy for him and hope he's wildly successful, of course... but at the same time, I'm pretty sure he could not POSSIBLY have fallen into a kind of program I would be LESS interested in watching.

MTE. Fox? I've never even watched more than 3 eps of Firefly and I'm still mad at them for canceling it (on behalf of half the internet ;)). And this just sounds like it'll be one of those awful comedies that'll only get 3 sets at the most and have a laughtrack. If it has to be a comedy, I want it to be a higher quality one like Community or Arrested Development (oh look, Fox canceled that one too!)

Also, they don't seem to have many comedy slots available, unless Raising Hope won't be renewed? I think The Simpsons, Family Guy etc. will live to see another season.

Anyway, out of all the pilots that are cast and shot, only about 10-20% will even be aired, much less picked up for a whole season. So while I'd obviously love to see ESS on my screen again, I'm not getting my hopes up.

Raising Hope was renewed for a second season a few months ago. Fox always has an insane amount of comedies and most don't last very long. It doesn't help that they sometimes premiere them in completley random months like last year they premiered Sons of Tuscon in April with no ads promoting it before the premiere. I am going to wait before I get my hopes up that this pilot will become a series.

ERIC SHEFFER STEVENS WHY DO YOU TEST MY LOYALTY.

Ugh I cannot abide Jamie Pressley, and this show sounds pretty awful BUT I WILL WATCH EVERY FUCKING SECOND OF IT, OKAY.

I agree. However, I, too, will watch every fucking second and the previews...and anything related to it!

Do I wish it was Masterpiece Theater --- yeah! But come on, face it, guys, we have been trolling ESPN for a John Hancock ad and watching "As the World Turns" clips on UsTube. I would love to see him on almost anything other than Fox News or Bill O'Reilly Show. Even then, I might turn down the sound and watch...wait - that would keep me from hearing his voice...Might have to reconsider.

Reading further, if this pilot is by the same folks that did "The New Adventures of Old Christine," it should be very smart. I don't like many television comedies because they are too broad. However, that show had very smart, sophisticated writing IMO. I liked it.
