"Why am I telling you this? The only thing that you've ever lost is a fee"

Poor Luke continues to experience A Series of Unfortunate Events, the latest of which includes getting some information about his missing father. He's told that Damian was last seen unconscious on the deck of a freighter, that his body was most likely washed overboard, which almost certainly killed him. On top of all this, the Worst Boyfriend Ever ( Read more... )

As usual, I'm on Lily's side. She has every right to be worried about Damian and to think that something v.v. bad has befallen him. Ugh, Holden. Ugh, I say.

I love the way Noah says to Maddie re: Luke, "He's become a huge part of my life." Well, DUH. Don't sound so surprised, douche. YOU'VE BEEN DATING HIM FOR YEARS. I should bloody well HOPE he's a huge part of your life. And Reid just said he wanted Noah to keep Luke away from Reid. So, you know, don't bring Luke to your consultations, etc. Noah's acting like he can't even utter Luke's name! He's totally twisting Reid's edict about not wanting to see Luke (the neurosurgeon doth protest too much) and using it as the perfect excuse to keep Luke away from him. Ugh.

"If we're ever going to work later on, we have to stay apart now." Right, so YOU'RE APART. LUKE IS NOT YOUR BOYFRIEND. Just checking. :|

Reid lets her know he doesn't think very much of someone who would balk at the opportunity to save someone's life.ITA with Reid. Yes, the bone marrow thing might be painful. Get over ( ... )

I agree with you on the bone marrow thing. It was one of these small moments where Reid shows how honest and practical he is...especially compared to all the silly, emotionally manipulative demands of Noah and Holden in contrast here. He is so the voice of reason!

Yeah, I have no patience for Katie's line of reasoning re: it might hurt, and Jacob's only a baby, etc. He'll survive -- and the same wouldn't be said of Liberty if she didn't find a match.

Although I can't remember now how she recovered and if a match was found or if she just did the chemo, etc. But regardless, the point remains. If you can save a life, you do it! AFAIK, the risk to bone marrow donors is very small. It's not like donating an organ. Getting bone marrow removed is just painful. But it's temporary pain, so suck it up.

Me, too. I know a lot of people don't like Lily very much, but I think she's a MUCH better parent to Luke than Holden (the way they each reacted when he first came out to him being the one exception to that rule).

ITA with Reid. Yes, the bone marrow thing might be painful. Get over it. Liberty's life is on the line! Sheesh.I know! I mean, I would understand Katie's reluctance if Liberty needed one of Jacob's kidneys or a piece of his liver or something -- that's serious surgery with major risks. But this? I'm far from an expert, but from what I understand, the main "complication" involved is the fact that it is pretty damned painful. But compared to Liberty's life, what is a little pain ( ... )

The show ended with a scene in the parking lot where Reid told Luke he loved him. There was nothing after that. NOTHING!!!!!!!!

Exactly. I can't even get angry anymore, because I refuse to acknowledge that craptastic ending. Not buying it!

But, to be fair to Katie, I tend to think her reluctance came at least partially from a place of denial -- like she didn't want to accept that Brad's daughter was really that sick or something.

Yeah, that's very true. It's a shame they dropped the whole Katie/Liberty relationship after Brad died.

There was nothing after that. NOTHING!!!!!!!!

My bad, I was thinking of another show. You're right, Luke and Reid are living HEA!

I agree. And Luke has every right to be worried as well.

Right? Geez, Damian may not be perfect (understatement), but he means something to Lily and Luke! And Holden ain't so perfect himself.
