Hi, hi, hi! I am sorry for the late deliver of today's instalment of the Luke Snyder Marathon. It all started this morning when I woke up and said, "Oh, shit, I forgot to do the Luke Marathon! And, dammit, I have a migraine! And, besides, this is writing time, and the next book won't write itself while I'm typing up things about Luke Snyder, so chop-chop, Migraine Girl!" And chop-chop I did. Sometimes migraine-writing is awesome, and sometimes it's very wtf, but only time will tell. Regardless, write I did!
Then kiddo arrived home from school, and despite my migraine I took her on a walk around the neighborhood, went on the swings at the park, and then came on back to water the front garden.
Then hubby showed up while we were gardening, and, "Hey there, honey, two friends are coming this weekend to stay! They'll be here at 3pm tomorrow!"
WAIT, WHAT????
Cue massive freak-out/cleaning/rushing around getting beds ready, accumulating, cleaning bathrooms, etc, etc, because I've been in book-mode for around a week, and before that was out of town in NYC for a trip, and before that was sick or something, I don't know, or maybe in previous-book-mode. Regardless, yikes! House was a disastah!
And I only just now -- just now -- at almost 11pm ate dinner. Oh, and somewhere in there kiddo declared her stomach in pain, vomited into a bucket, declared herself feeling better, and is now asleep. Current hypothesis is that her allergies which are wretched led her to gag on her own snot and puke. God, I hope so. We have house guests tomorrow, ffs.
ANYWAY. SORRY THE LUKE MARATHON IS LATE. IT IS HERE NOW! Let's start!
Lily introduces Luke to Ross the Creepy Deprogrammer. It doesn't go well. Luke says if she wants him to go, then he'll leave, and so he goes to pack his stuff and is going to Grandma Lucinda's. <3 Ross and Damian plot on the phone to get Luke to go to the 'camp'. Damian says, "I want my son straightened out by the end of this summer." Lily convinces Luke to talk to the "Ross person" as he puts it. Lily is happy with that. Lucinda runs into Damian and they spar adorably. She declares that she will see Damian in his grave before she lets him harm another member of her family. Spoiler alert: SHE FAILS AT THIS.

OMG JADE GO AWAY UGH. Lily and Jade spar in a much less entertaining way than Lucinda and Damian.
Ross the Creeper has Luke almost convinced to go to his camp when he blows it by being severely creepy and suggesting Luke go pack immediately because the van is outside waiting. OMG. This guy is an idiot. How obvious could he be? Luckily, of course.
Then more Jade and Lily, whatever skip it.
Ross pressures Luke more, says that asking his father is a bad idea, and tells him that Holden doesn't even know about it, that it was entirely Lily's idea. Lily meanwhile is at the library and realizes that Ross is a deprogrammer, and heads back to help Luke out of the situation. She runs into Damian, says, "We have to get back home to Luke before he thinks we're behind this!" Damian says, "It's too late." Dun-dun-dun!

OMG, Holden, wtf is wrong with your hair??? Anyway, he's talking to Jack about Damian being in town.
Lily is urgently trying to convince Damian that it isn't too late, they can stop it.
Luke confronts Ross and says he's gay, "As I'm sure you already knew." Ross denies knowing it, and Luke looks suspicious but also surprised.
Jack and Holden blah blah blah.
Luke says, "Does my mother know what you do at this camp of yours?" Ross says, "Of course she does." Luke looks DEVASTATED. :( :( :( :(
Lily and Damian fight more about whether or not they can change Luke, etc. Damian's being a massive dick, essentially. Lily comes to the conclusion that her son doesn't need to change, but she does. *applauds* About time, Lily.
Jack and Holden more blah blah blah.
Luke and Ross talk more, and Ross is being a dick, preying on Luke's biggest fears that he'll be alone forever. :( Luke tells Ross to get out of his house or he'll call the police. Ross says, "You can't kick me out. Your mother invited me in here. You're a minor who has been entrusted to my care and there is nothing the police can do about that." Luke again looks devastated. :(
