Cain City

JUST waking up after last night's celebration. Yep, I said celebration, even though Cain took a loss, he still KICKED ass as far as we're concerned. That battle with Helton was un-freaking-believable. The whole place exploded when Helton finally popped out. SBC sounded like Barry had just hit a grand slam. That's the kind of hope the fans have for this kid.

Cain wasn't entirely convinced there was any reason to be celebrating, at first, he was hung up on the score and the Holliday jack. But I told him it was the spirit of the start that counts, which almost everyone agreed with. I told him that I'd never seen so many pitches get fouled off, it was unbelievable. Trial by fire. So basically after an hour or so of 0-1 dejection he cheered up a bit and we went back to the complex and had that Martinelli's. Linden ended up putting Jim Beam in everyone's cider and then got pretty wasted and demanded to stay at our place even though his place is not far away. Whatever Linden. He wasn't there when I got up so I guess he made his own way back.

Had to eventually put Cain in a cab with Captain Jack to go back to their place. Cain wanted to crash here too but the whole place was getting overcrowded.
