Weird workplace injuries

Apr 02, 2010 13:07

I quite often sit cross-legged at my computer at work, but of course that means sometimes my foot goes to sleep. Which it did yesterday. Which I didn't realize until I jumped up suddenly, and totally was unable to support any weight on my foot, which meant it bent up underneath me in a rather awkward way, leaving me to hop back to my desk until I got feeling back in my foot (how it could be so numb and hurt at the same time makes no sense to me, but there you go.)

There is a visible bruise near the toe-line, and it is quite painful to walk on barefoot. Strangely enough, when I put my sneakers on, it was bearable, so I still did my C25K run (week 2.2) because I was already a day behind. It went surprisingly well, so I'm assuming it's going to hurt like crazy later.

The really sad thing is I trip over my own feet way too often. I'm actually pretty convinced I'm going to die falling down stairs because I'm just that uncoordinated.
