They talk as they eat and April tells him about her day, from the teenage boys and their wandering eyes, which Simon looks appropriately annoyed about, to the meetings she had to sit through.

"So what else did you have in mind for tonight?" she asks as he turns off the TV, a small smile curving her lips as she looks up at him.

They've only been sleeping together for a few months, but somehow every time always feels like that first time. He makes love to her like he's been starving for her, and sometimes he feels like he has, thinks maybe everything in his life was somehow leading him to her. He's been in love with her from almost the moment he met her, and maybe she's the one who can heal all of those old wounds. They say time does it, but sometimes time needs help. (This honestly might be my favourite paragraph ever. I just love their relationship so so much. ♥)
