I LOVE A GOOD KEYBOARD SMASH.
I know I've mentioned this before, but I can't say it often enough: I think Simon's conscientiousness as a lover is probably my favorite thing about him. He's so utterly attentive to April's wants and needs, always thinking of her pleasure before his own. It's so, so lovely.
I love it too. It's such a juxtaposition from before, from that utter selfishness of an addict to this new selflessness. He cares more for her than he does for himself, and his happiness hinges on hers.

The only thing barring it from being my Favorite Story Of All Time is a lack of phone call from Evan with "I picked the color"-type amazingness, but I suppose at this point in the timeline they wouldn't really be close enough for that.
DARN IT. But no, I don't think they are. I mean, he and Penny have been dating for like, three years by this point, but I don't think he and April have really had much chance to spend time together on their own to develop that sort of friendship. They're friends, definitely, but yeah, it's kind of in that "you're my girlfriend's best friend/you're my best friend's boyfriend" way. They're not to drunken smooching level yet. But you know there was totes Evan adorableness at her party that weekend XD
