So I'm going on some family vacations that will involve swimming in Lake Michigan and getting my hair all lake-y and sandy. I've been using baking soda and ACV and having a lot of luck, but I don't know if this will be effective for getting the "lake stuff" out. This coming weekend I will have access to a fully-stocked kitchen right after I swim, but if I don't get everything out, I'll be in a hotel the next night where I'll only have access to shampoo, conditioner, and little soaps if I don't bring anything with me.
Also, as long as I'm asking--later this summer I'll be traveling and staying in other people's houses rather than a family cottage where I can use the kitchen like it's my own, and would like to know what suggestions you all have for washing my hair there.
I have long, thick, curly hair that has a certain amount of natural frizz, so I like to do at least something conditioning/detangling every time I bathe, if that's helpful information.
