So after months and weeks of hearing how well no 'poo was working for everyone else, I finally decided to try it. Partly because it's just good all 'round, but also because, in less than two weeks, (ee!), I'll be going to Peru and staying in the jungle for part of the time. I'm going on this biology course, and we'll be researching birds. So, I figured, in order for shampoo not to wash down the river, I should probably bring something along that's completely harmless to the environment. Enter baking soda.
The first time I tried it, Wednesday, I had an itchy scalp, so then mixed up some ACV with water and it worked a charm. Such the relief. Didn't wash my hair again until today (wow!), and I have SO much volume! I have thick hair anyway, but this is really incredible. Lightness, and waves, and it's all just lovely. Unless something goes bad, I am hooked on no 'poo!
Thank you to [info]babyslime, for writing that wonderful "how to" for no 'poo, and giving me the courage to try it for myself. I've never not had shampoo before, and this feels great.
Edit: for those of you wanting to try the no 'poo method for yourself, you can look in the memories, or click on this handy link
