Dandruff routine.
hi, I have really bad dandruff.
I have been doing No 'Poo since October. I played with BS, ACV, WV, and even a very much gone wrong attempt with Ginger.
I have been doing CO lately, I love what it does to my hair. But it doesn't do anything for my very itchy dry scalp when I get in the shower. soooooo......
before I get my hair wet, I do a very strong solution of WV on my scalp and let it sit while I wash my body. I then rinse it very very well so that I don't smell of vinegar all day (I personally like the smell of WV and ACV, but DH thinks it's yucky, so I rinse well) and then proceed with my CO routine. I think that the extra acidity of the WV is really helping my scalp, it is less itchy and less flaky, which I love!! though, I am noticing that I really need to do this every time I "wash" my hair, otherwise my scalp gets dried out.... and therefore, itchy. I didn't do it last night after the gym and am regretting it as I type and trying to resist scratching my scalp. I am hoping to get it to a point where the acidity level of my scalp is back to normal, and the flakes and dryness go away, and I can cut out the WV altogether, but for now, this helps.
When DH and I finally get insurance and I can go to a doctor, I will definitely be asking about the scalp issues, if I still have them. I went to a dermatologist a few years ago, and they said I just had really bad dandruff ( I thought it was psorisis or Excema) and to just use dandruff shampoos with tar in them, but those had never helped anyway, and they always made my hair smell.... so I didn't. and now I do no 'poo, well, sort of, since I am CO with WV....
Hope it helps anyone else with dandruff.

PS!!!! I am thinking about getting my hair permed with big curls, not a typical perm, but that doesn't really matter... anyway, what I am wondering is what, if any, would be issues with no 'poo and perms? will the WV affect anything? I know CO will be good, because they say to moisturize your hair like crazy before and after.... anybody have experience or clues?
