She was. She was someone I knew at home. She was a very famous singing idol in my world, actually; I was surprised to be able to get to know her. I'm sure the Minako-chan who was here will go far, too.

You talk like she's a different person.

[no_use_running]

In a way, she is, sort of. She was still Aino Minako and our worlds shared many things, but they were very slightly different. An alternate world.

[gardenerofgaia]

But still a friend. [That's the important part.] I'm sorry, Ami.

Still a friend. But it's alright. If she's home, she'll be safer and she'll be with everyone again.

[gardenerofgaia]

That's a good way to look at it. [...But it's probably time to move on.]

Magic can be used by creatures in my world, but for people, they learn how to call on it. But also, everyone has their own special skills that they can use in moments of crisis. Even then they have to be trained about how to harness that ability. Not quite inherited, but ... just a trait of being born from the Planet, I suppose.

Then it's the Planet itself, that gives you your power? Your magic?

You could say it like that.

It makes sense. It happens that way for some people in my world.

[gardenerofgaia]

Only some?

[no_use_running]

Magic is very rare. It's so rare that many people don't even know it exists. And each planet only has one person born under its protection.

[gardenerofgaia]

Each planet... so this whole group of planets, they all work the same way.

[no_use_running]

It's sort of like that. Each planet gives its blessings to its chosen soldier.

[gardenerofgaia]

Seems a little risky, but--are you one of those chosen, then?

[no_use_running]

[She's still slightly torn between whether to deny or admit it. But it's not such a close secret here. Not after her time in the Darkness, not after the drafts.]
