This Saturday at The Black Cat: Special Midnight Screening of "Heavy Metal Parking Lot" w/ performances by Nitro Tokyo, Death By Sexy, and DJ Dribble spinning between sets (Plus meet the filmmakers after the movie!) $9 on the mainstage, 9pm.

On Friday we hoped to go to jessicamelusine's party but it wasn't a good day and by the time geekchick got home we both wanted to stay in and relax.

On Saturday night geekchick and I went to see Cowboy Mouth (warning: plays music) at the 9:30. geekchick and rdhdsnippet already posted; I don't have much to add. I didn't much about them, apart from listening to a CD on the drive in, but I still enjoyed the show. Yesterday we went down to Charlottesville to see Ryan Adams. He's not exactly my thing but he did put on a good show. The venue was a pavillion, with a cloth "roof" suspended from curved metal frames in the front and iirc a geodesic dome looking structure above, so there were no supports inside to block sight lines.
