What's your type?
A post elsewhere got me wondering about types, as in "She's my type" or "He's my type". There are definitely things I find attractive, but they cover such a wide range I could never come up with a single description of what "my type" looks like. The range just covers too many mutually-exclusive possibilities.
Another point is that I am not primarily focused on how someone looks. I think everyone I've ever dated was really attractive, but how I feel about someone is more important to me. There are plenty of people who I think look great who I absolutely can't stand to be around, let alone date.
If someone got to meet all my exes I think they'd have a tough time really narrowing down what grabs my eye. "Female" and "long hair" are easy to figure out. All my partners have been white, which reflects my work and social circles more than what I find attractive. None have been taller than me, but few women are, and 2 have been just my height.
So what's your type? What do you like or dislike? How much do you care about looks? [And if you're really bored, try and guess what I like.]
