geekchick: He does that.
me: [watches for a bit] Actually it looks more like he's doing

geekchick: I hope there's a break in there.
me: I don't think so, but something could throw an exception.
geekchick: What kind of exception could you get from self dot lick?
me: Well not from the licking so much, but the stomach could throw an I'm Hungry exception, or a bird/squirrel could run by and trigger a Pounce on Stuff exception.
Cats: *Stops licking and gives us the "I know you're talking about me" look*
me: I guess there's an exception for burning ears too.
