1. Flipping through XM the other day I saw Goo Goo Dolls on one station and Hot Hot Heat on another. I got to wondering how many bands have names of the form X X Y? Dum Dum Girls is the only other one that comes immediately to mind. I thought Duran Duran might be a degenerate case (Y = null), but
geekchick informed me that it doesn't count. ;)
I suppose for completeness we should include album and song names (Red Red Wine), as well as the forms Y X X (Kaja Goo Goo, except it's actually just one word) and X Y X (Was Not Was - we'll ignore the parentheses).
So what other bands / songs / albums can you think of that fit these patterns?
[ETA: I can't believe no one mentioned Ice Ice Baby. I know some of you are also old enough to remember it!]
2. Pine is a type of tree and also a verb. What if any other tree names are also verbs? (I think Dearest Edward sorted this one, but I thought I'd let you all play too.)
