BDSM in the news... sadly nothing good.
I haven't seen this pretty scary story mentioned yet. A man allegedly impersonated his ex-mistress on collarme.com and made detailed fake posts about her kidnap/rape fantasies, in an attempt to incite someone to actually kidnap and rape her. Luckily someone who knew the intended victim saw the posts and warned her before she was attacked.
From a post on DCSM by Abilina, a story that hits some of us close to home:
"For those of you who remember the Scott Tyree case from 2002, his victim speaks out in this weeks [sic] People Magazine. April 16th issue, page 115. Tyree, a Herndon resident and Black Rose member abducted a 13 year old across state lines to be his "sex slave". [The] FBI got involved and Tyree is serving 20 years in prison. Not great for us [is] that the article features a picture of Tyree in his BR98 tee shirt standing in front of his whip and paddle collection. The article is a pretty good one, basically preaching the logic of teen safety on the Internet. The article does not bash BDSM."
