While I didn't have quite as good a weekend as
vinylchances, I certainly exceeded my expectations going in. 14-3 over both days (8-1 followed by 6-2), $210, new TWL peak of 1820, plus I grabbed the top ranking in North Carolina. Now my next goal, top rating in all the Caroli...oh crap. Yeah that's not happening for awhile.
A key to my success this weekend was success at the challenge computer. Didn't let any phonies get past me, and had only one phony get challenged off (GH(E)RAOs# as an out play, should have looked harder and found HAGRODE or BEGORAH or HOMAGER). You can see the grid below.

This chart was generated by
cross-tables.com Nothing in that middle column, which is how I like to play. Yeah, I could get away with more phonies against my opponents, but I really wasn't in that kind of position this weekend where it was required. I'm not much a gambler, what can I say.
I'm happy with how I played, except for the last game against Ryan. Lots of mistakes in that game, it was probably winnable on my end if I play better. A couple of the games were interesting, I may post some, but probably not until after vacation next week. Bingoes after the cut.

And a bonus bingo: John Price played (C)ICHLIDS against Matt Hopkins for 101. He and his wife Amy (who just got a badass Led Zeppelin 4 custom Scrabble board) have started cardboxing 7's and 8's by probability. You've all been warned.
