Our health care system is fine for the rest of us poor suckers, but a major Canadian politician is going to the US for heart surgery. I wonder who is paying for it?

I can understand if the specific surgery is not available in his home province, but why choose the US over another province within Canada?

Yup! Making a few phone calls moved up my ultrasound from October 11 to September 17. Considering I am in pretty much constant pain from the gall bladder, those 24 days might make a very large difference. All it took was finding an ultrasound clinic that had a cancelation. Yippee! One step closer to pain eradication.

I had a nice dinner at a friend's apartment last night and was ready to crawl into bed to rest up for more hard labour at work. That's when pain hit me and hit me hard. I tried to walk it off; but finally got hubby to take me to the hospital about 3:30am. They took me in immediately. I had an apparent gall bladder attack. I don't ever want another ( Read more... )

I went to my doctor today and told him I have a sore shoulder. He asked how long I'd had the shoulder. I told him 44 years, give or take. He said it was obviously not a serious problem if I had lived with it for that long.
I had to explain that I had the "sore" shoulder for only a month, but had the shoulder itself since some time before birth. ( Read more... )
