Brimley has not had any more seizures. I think it was hypothermia as I didn't wrap him up as much for the cold as I usually do because I didn't think it was that cold out. You know it is really warm when you walk into the kitchen to find your bird sitting in the freezer after the door did not close properly.  Hubby walked into the kitchen to find Brimley sitting in the open freezer compartment of the fridge.  Brimley was quite content to stay there.

I was speaking on the phone and noticed a bunch of Kleenex stuffed down the coils at the back of the fridge. When I asked Brimley why he was doing that he answered, "Fuck off." I think he has figured out how to use those words in context.

Last night Brimley was tired and making his usual tired sounds. I asked him if he wanted to go to bed and he said, "Go to bed" as clear as day. Yup, he's learning all the time, my little monkey.

Brimley said something new again. He had a loose feather that was stuck in his other feathers so I picked him up to remove it. He said, "What are you doing?" with emphasis on the "what". Yup, he's too smart.

Brimley really didn't want us to go to work today. He's moulting and that puts him into a very clingy and needy mood. Every morning we walk out the apartment door and tell him, "be a good boy" and "we'll see you tonight." He answers from the kitchen with "I'm a good boy." This morning he was especially clingy. Last night I asked Brimley what he wanted for supper only to be surprised by his answer: "ice cream." Yup, he's learned a new word and knows what it means. He really did want ice cream. The bird is too smart.

We had a friend over for dinner on Wednesday. In the middle of dinner, Brimley decided to say his newest word. It is something we've tried very hard not to say around him.
