[Translation] Enjoy vol. 97 "The First Time"

Apr 10, 2013 12:33

Tokyo has become much warmer.
Even the sakura have bloomed. It's spring ne~

I want to go for hanami~ [1]

How is everyone doing?
I'm doing well!!

It's sudden, but, when you first experience something in life, it leaves an impression, doesn't it?

Just now, I've had one of these experiences.

The other day....

I went to Ohno Satoshi's house for the first time!!

Even though it's been 14 years since we debuted....It's my first time!! (laugh)

Well, actually, he couldn't find a reason not to let me come so he gave in...

Finally!

Finally, I can go~

Recently, he's been painting so he showed me what he's made.

They are really.....

amazing!!

When he likes something he can get to such a high level, huh?

He really is an artist.
He's a master!

Somehow, it made it happy that he showed me the works he made with care~

Thank you!

So, I briefly scoured his place (laugh) [2]

After that, the two of us went out to eat.

It was a good time~

That person really likes Arashi ne.

I'll visit again, ne~

And, one more thing.

I've been given the opportunity to host 歌舞伎座開場スペシャル『今語られる勘三郎…役者の生き様 夫婦の絆 独占告白&秘蔵映像300日』 which will air on April 5th. [3]

Since high school, I have been close friends with Nakamura Shichinosuke [4] and the Nakamura family has always treated me kindly.

It is sad but, as the host, I have thought about what I can do to help the Nakamura family move forward.

I will do the best I can as the host!

I would also like even for those who have not seen kabuki to please watch as well.

It's a program which will definitely move you.

Please tune in!
Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!! [5]

As it's spring, I want to pass the days with a feeling of freshness.

[Everyone,] have fun!

I will enjoy it as well!

Notes
[1] Hanami, literally flower watching, is going to see the sakura when they bloom and partying. A spring tradition in Japan.
[2] I don't actually know what he was trying to say. I think he means he looked at all of Riida's paintings
[3] Cannot translate the title lol It's a program commemorating the life of Kanzaburo, the Kabuki actor who passed away last December
[4] Kanzaburo's son
[5] Phrase in Japanese with various meanings. Here he's asking for your support and hoping you'll watch.

Jeez Matsujun. He's adorable when talking about Riida lol but he quickly shifts to serious mode when talking about the program.

Putting this here too just because. Thinking about having a translation journal but dunno if I will since I have a tag...

translations, riida, arashi, matsujun
