I am trying so hard to do right by my hurt rib muscles but it is very very difficult.

Standing hurts, which means cooking anything aggravates my ribs. Reaching with my arms hurts which means that cleaning, lifting or hauling laundry to the laundry room hurts. Sitting at my desk hurts which means no sewing or drawing. And sitting cross-legged hurts, too. Which means the only option that does not prolong this dammed injury is laying down or laying propped up on the couch. This sounds like something that I shouldn't be complaining about but I've been doing this half-heartedly for weeks now and seriously for the past 3 days.

Doing this half-heartedly is what I think is making this going on longer. So I need to keep seriously taking it easy on my body.

I get so impatient, though! The apartment is getting messy (it's not filty by any means but it is not up to my standards) and I have to cook. And I want to work on projects and stuff that involve not just laying down.

But my new job is approaching and I absolutely have to be healthy enough to walk around for that. So time is of the essence. I need to bottle up my restlessness and lay down. And try not to move much. :-/
