Today I have become acutely aware of the full meaning of the phrase "there are two sides to every story."
As in, I am the other side to the story that no one has bothered to seek out or wants to hear. Why would they? The side they're hearing is so much more appealing. I wanted to hear it for the longest time, too; I didn't want to look for another side to the story.
Then I learned that I was the other side to the story and realized that I had been tale-telling myself the wrong way the whole time.
