Two new commissioned character portraits. It's so much fun just to paint faces ... no need to worry about poses or wonky anatomy or endless leaves :D The first is a young female mage, while the second is a Sell Sword or mercenary. I've spent a long time working on this one. It's a cover commission for Robert C Fountain's Dark Brand: Book 1 of the Forge of Atuma ( www.forgeofatuma.com ) It's a fantasy novel set in a world which resembles Industrial Revolution Europe. I haven't read the book yet, but the bits I got to read were very cool!  I'll post some detail shots later ( Read more... )

After a well needed holiday, I've made the tough decision to close down commissions until early next year. I'll be honouring the commissions that have already been discussed with clients, but I won't be taking on any new ones for a few months.
