yes, I did read it, and am forming up a good reply (and no.. it isn't riddled with disdain or disgust :-p)
and I'm going to ON the panel with Monte Cook.. when I initially signed up for the panel Monte Cook wasn't a part of it.. I figured he would just be there to do his own discussion panel/panels anyone hopping on now (or till they close the panel sign-up.. which I figure is soon since the con is pretty close) will simply be in on the discussion..
so.. yes... when Nix gets his programming book I do plan on having him sign it next to where it lists me :-D (btw.. if you have a 3.5 book.. I can see if he would sign it for you.. I picked up a DM's guide for him to sign, unfortunately it was already signed by him and several others..lol)
I did play Marvel Superheroes.. it was a decent game, but at the time I wasn't really into comics perhaps I'll look for a copy and bring it up at game night and the panel
See.. I played the earlier versions of D&D.. where the rules were light and while I app.. well.. that'll all be in the reply to your post :-p
If you want to check out the version of basic D&D we are using go to goblinoid.com or look for Labyrinth Lord, they have free dl's of both versions they offer (basic and then what amounts to advanced 1ed)
we also play Classic Traveller, Tekumel (a game I have raved about ever since I played it), and several others
