Yesterday I went to the supermarket and bought a variety of healthy foods that I'm usually not given to purchasing. Plain pro biotic yogurt? Shredded burdock root?! Fresh basil and rosemary?? The only meat in the whole basket was a filleted salmon that I plan to bake later with bell papers and cherry tomatoes. I looked down into my basket while I was waiting in the checkout aisle and felt like I was looking at the groceries of a stranger, one that probably liked swapping recipes with my Dad.

I guess it's hard to let go of that adolescent feeling of thinking, "pfft, tofu scramble, why would I want to eat that when I could eat something BAD for me?" I've been doing an overhaul of all of my habits in the attempt to live a healthier lifestyle, but I am constantly surprised to realize that I actually like most of the healthy foods in the first place. Why then, haven't I been eating them before?

Today will mark the end of the 4th week of my push-up program. Hopefully I'll manage 35 pushups today.
