Lady__Croft and I were at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra listening to the Music of John Williams. It was absolutely lovely.
The concert consisted of the following:
Shark Theme from Jaws (1975)
Selections from Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)
March from Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Arch (1981)
Adventures on Earth from ET The Extra Terrestrial (1982)
The Flight to Neverland from Hook (1981)
Theme from Jurassic Park ( 1993)
Intermission
Main Theme from Schindler's List (1993)
Dartmoor 1912 from War Horse (2011)
The People's House form Lincoln (2012)
Main Title Theme from Star Wars: Episode IV - A new Hope (1977)
Suite form Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015)
My favourite is the Indiana Jones theme which I'm still humming. I'd never heard the piece from Lincoln which was very beautiful. I love Schindler's Lists music as it features mostly violin and cello - my all-time favourite. I forgot how enchanting the Dartmoor piece is and really need to get some of this onto my iPod!
Sadly no music from Harry Potter for Superman for some reason but feel should have been included. Also would have liked to have the March of the Stormtroopers in there as well. Still an amazing concert. Can't wait to go back to the TSO for upcoming concerts for Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings, Carmina Burana, and also Tim Burton in the coming months and on into next year!
