Retail Therapy

Got up early to go uptown to Yorkdate Mall with lady__croft for a little retail therapy...hours of walking but at least I got my exercise for the day in!

Purchased a hoodie from one of my fav surf clothing haunts Billabong! LC picked up a sweater wrap than I'm now regret not getting as well....it's so soft and comfy that I just might head over to the one

I find it interesting how at Yorkdale everyone shows up after 4pm while at the Eaton Centre it's busy from Noon on....weird dynamic of people uptown vs downtown.

The 'some' highlighting might have to do with the publisher....the industry is still working out lots of kinks with rights to reprint in "electronic" media and I'm guessing some publishers don't want to allow highlighting because it could mean down the road as technology get's more sophisticated that people could copy the quote to something other device and then the issue of 'copyright' is now blurred because if they gave permission to highlight does that also give permission to transfer that highlighted section to another medium? Some laws will say yes and some might say no so thus some publishers might not allow it at all to save themselves the legal hassle. When I was reading The Hunger Games on your ereader you should see the copyright disclaimer at the end....omg it actually uses the sentence in terms of reprinting permission rights where they do not allow it and include "for all future technologies that may be developed". So you can see how publishers are trying to protect writers or more their own rights now as technology develops faster than they can change their rules by using one blanket statement for anything electronic.
