I had someone write me this poem after browsing my web site. I read it and was so touched and enchanted. What a precious gift that I shall treasure.
STARLIGHT . . .
The deepest pools of starlight,
Sweep across the darkness of her eyes,
Reflecting no emotion,
Yet awakening the tides below.
Such beauty, such open wonder,
A flowing river of emotion and sensation,
What could hide within those darkened currents,
Disguised by such a fierce spirit?
Like a lioness defending her cubs,
The raw talent strikes outward from within,
Giving form where once was shadow,
Sharing hidden wonders at such a heavy cost.
What could unlock the pent up brilliance,
To bring forth the sleeper from the darkest depths?
Could anyone ever gather enough of the heavens,
To give back the starlight to her eyes?
