I know, it's boring. Time for one of my monologueish rants about stuff you already know. But I think it's important.

As an aspiring writer, I have a stake in this little legal war. A very real one. And, you know what? Both extremes are wrong, though I've never felt so strongly about that until yesterday evening.

There will be a presidential election in approximately two months, the first one in which an incumbent or vice president has not run for an incredible eighty years. No, I haven't seen Clone Wars. Nor am I planning on doing so soon. While I had mixed expectations of the film a few months ago my expectations have slowly sunk more and more into the negative. It's remarkable today that people still deny global warming's basis in human-released greenhouse gases. From a basic scientific standpoint this isn't exactly hard to realize. It's a shame when an author chooses to insert their own political views into the context of their novel in a blatant and uncompromising way. It's even sadder when the author doing it is otherwise talented.
