Just came back from a weekend of snowboarding in Nagano. I've gone skiing a couple of times before, but it was my first time on a board and OW I HURT. First half of the first day was spent on my ass and falling in spurts down a mountain because I thought snowboarding would be as easy to pick up as skiing. But no. Second half was much more successful after some tips and starting from the less steep midpoint of the slope and today I WENT DOWN THAT ENTIRE MOUNTAIN WITHOUT FALLING AT ALL. And by mountain, I mean the beginner's slopes, haha.
Next time: get comfortable with toe-ing, learn to transition. Also...find out which foot is dominant D:
MY ENTIRE BODY IS SORE AND I CAN HARDLY MOVE, but it was enjoyable! And a good workout. Winter sports are fun~
