FLAILY PICSPAM

PART ONE
I'm under the impression that I haven't seen that many people talking about the DVD. I've seen a couple of reviews, but nothing very ~flashy~ or capslocky enough -- what I think the awesomeness that KAT-TUN is deserves! Although I'm a lazy bum and never update my journal, I thought that this time around I should do something for the boys. Or I am too influenced after reading all posts at arashicrackaday  and wishing that there was a similar KAT-TUN community. Anyway, I decided to post this because flailing alone is so sad ( ç__ç ) and it kinda serves as a review of the DVD.

Special thanks to uepixie for beta-ing this entry!

WARNINGS: this is a VERY image-heavy post, with a lot of flail, crappy screenshots (by me), failed crack, random capslocks, sexual innuendos, unnecessary swearing and general bakaness. Also, I will mention Jin a lot and my puns are worst than Junno's. You've been warned.

1. The DVD

I don't know about you guys, but for me one of the best parts is waiting for the release of the DVD and its arrival at home. You know, it's like that feeling that you get just before start dating someone you're really in love with but still isn't right there yet. Some days lasted an eternity and others flew too fast until the release date, and I checked my order compulsively after the shipping, like 5 times a day, although I knew it wouldn't speed up the process.

And really, who the fuck makes a release just before New Year? Only Johnny's Entertainment, I know. Even though I choose EMS, there was NO PROGRESS AT ALL between the 31st Dec and the 4th Jan. Which I would feel very reasonable, if this wasn't about KAT-TUN. Performing. Sexily. Dorkly. Awesomely. So I wanted to just kill the damn postman. Okay, I know it wouldn't help even a little, nor was it his fault, but all I could think was "OMG I NEEEEEEED TO WATCH IT!!!!!!111!!!" and "OMG OMG OMG AND IF IT WAS MISPLACED AND I NEVER GET TO RECEIVE IT???" DDD8 Like happened with my Break the Records LE DVD. ( TT___TT )

Anyway, after a full week of anxiety, alternating periods of extreme glee ("It's coming, I can feel it!") ops I didn't mean it in a sexual way and  emo-ing, it finally arrived! Yatta!~~~ \(")/

I know that everybody must have been seen it already, but I'm still very happy about the DVD cover and package.

I loved the yellow-black contrast. The pink-black of the RE is lovely too -- I like strong colors over black, in general. Also, the horse chess figure, because I used to play it when I was a child. Until I realized I totally sucked at it.

Opening a present is always fun :-) Only that I've paid for it myself.

I loved the interior design of the package. Am I the only one who thinks that the overlapping of the first two DVDs is cool?

And the concert photo inside. You know, they could've done the normal boring black background -- but thankfully they didn't! Although I couldn't identify which venue was that... Anyone wants to guess? Looking a second time around I think it's Osaka Dome.

2. The venue

I still haven't gotten used to the fact that the concert was filmed in Kyocera Dome. Although I've never been to Japan, I already felt like I knew Tokyo Dome after watching KAT-TUN's previous concerts a bazillion times. The shape and scale of the stage is different, and I guess all the technological stuff is bound to have less of an impact then TD. D8

I'm not even talking about the sound, which really had problems on the day of filming...  I'm still so upset about it that I kinda wish the sound operator of that day was fired!!!  凸(`0´)凸  Only that I don't because I know how difficult is to find a job nowadays.

Talking with my sister, and reading the reports on the internet, it is clear for me that the explanation for not making a DVD of their Tokyo Dome performance is that the boys were still very shaken because of Jin's departure. Not only they had to change a lot of their lines to make up for his absence -- which they got right only later on, but they also were emotionally vulnerable. There were lots of reports saying that some of them almost cried at the end of their concerts, what made my heart break a little every time I read them. ( ;__; )

Summing up: although I wish the DVD was filmed at TD even because I'm a S and I love to see their crying faces, I can perfectly understand why they didn't do so.

3. The concert (AKA where the flailing begins)

In general, I loved the concert!!! I swear I've never seen such a fierce performance. I found it so intense and powerful, all through the first DVD, that I got really tense! I was able to relax only with the second  DVD.

The setlist is full of strong and upbeat songs, with only a few beautiful breathers, like Bokura no Machi de, and was overall well-chosen. I only regret that Tatchan's Marie Antoinette wasn't performed... And I'd die to watch them singing Signal and You, two of my favorite 'happy' KAT-TUN's songs.

I also think that Kisumai should have had its corner kept. Let the poor juniors be, Johnny-san! I blame my sudden interest to their performance of Fire Beat in Shounen Club, and specially to Fujigaya's hip thrusts. Yeah, I'm that shallow, I know.

OVERTURE

We start with Kisumai setting the people up for the concert.

I always think that Fujigaya is already in a 'Lost my way' mode, with the cape and all.

Kitayama going down and shouting to the public~ I don't know why I still find it funny when they start screaming in English "Are you ready?" xD

I liked the stars on the ceiling. But I can't stop wondering if it looked better in Tokyo Dome...

Usually I find the pictures they use in the intro very, very tacky. I'm always like, "Why did they choose SUCH A HORRIBLE PHOTO when they have so many beautiful, cool pics???"

I can't say how relieved I was when I saw they used the NMP PV shoots for the introduction. Simple and safe.

Sorry, there weren't any scenes of Tatchan and Koki with their names on ( ;__; )

I also liked the initial setting, with the pyramid and all the weird writing over it. upon closer inspection, it's "N.M.P. 2010" xD  Anyway, it was very cool!!!

N.M.P. (No More Pain)

First shot of our boys~

Super-fierce!Koki !

Shaded!Kame !!! But there's nothing new here...

Super-serious!Junno !!!

Hiding-in-the-shadows!Tatchan !!!

And... normal-wearing-bow-tie!Maru !!! xDDD

Also, I think I won't ever get used to those overlaying costumes. They're so... so... TACKY!!!! I know they must be something ~big~ so that they can wear the other costumes inside, but why couldn't they use just 2 or 3 different fabrics?

Am I the only one who finds Kame's almost expressionless face scary? I bet he could kill babies with it.

On the other hand, I just ***love*** Junno's serious expressions. He looks hella hot, IMHO. ( ♥o♥ ) I don't think think he has worn such an expression in a concert since Seishin, but I totally approve it!

Short pause for my bias AKA shouting Tatchan is peeeeeeeeeeeeeeerfect!!!!!! >/////////< So handsome and princely and fierce while still wearing eye makeup ADSLFKJSALFDKSÇADFLKSJSLKJD

General Nakamaru's apparition sighted! Man, I'm loving this all.

Kono itami yasu no namida ja naku~♪♫♪

PLEASE STOP MAKING ME HAVE PERVERTED THOUGHTS ALREADY IN THE FIRST SONG, MARU.

I SAID STOP IT, KAME, NOT KEEP ON. Urgh, my panties will suffer a lot until the end...

And... Koki's handporn!!!!! >/////< I so want to be touched by him~~

Summary: In general, I thought they were gorgeous but a little too tense in this performance. Dunno if it was due to the DVD recording, but I'm glad they seemed more relaxed from the middle onwards. Kame is very scary like that. ( ;___; )

FALL DOWN

This song isn't one of my favorites, but I must recognize they pulled it out nicely. It also made a good transition from NMP, which is more 'epic', to Real Face, which has a more rock-y feeling.

GODDAMNIT, MARU, I SAID STOP!!!!! I'm totally turned on by his scream.
But the sighting of a pimple turned me off a little.

I love Tatchan's high note here. ♥ Also, very sexy~

I've always wondered "when do the staff clean the fallen 'pyramid tiles'?"...

Tell me what you wanna do~♪♫♪  Get inside all their pants? Also, too bad that Junno already reverted to his my-arms-and-gestures-are-too-big mode. xDDD

Koki's winks are ASLKDJFAÃODSIVAJNÇAWEOISLKDJALFKSJ I love how playful he can be while still being fierce.

Group shot sans Junno, who IDK why always wanders to the other side. Maybe to cover more audience?

Summary: Lots of high notes and screaming and fierce faces made me happy. Still a very powerful performance.

Real Face

I don't know how many people did notice, but Kame has a stream on his face that suspiciously looks like a tear. My sis showed me he has another on the other side, too. I don't know if he was really crying, but only the thought already makes me go all sad-face. ( ;__; ) Don't cry, bb~!

I totally approve of Junno singing the first part of the second voice ('omoi') -- his voice has a more consistent feeling than Tatchan's, which I find to sound better in higher parts with an ethereal feeling.

Coincidental Maruda shot~ :-)

I seriously think that they should do a multi-angle, focusing on each members crotch *aham* middle-section version of Real Face. Only watching Kame's and Junno's is already ~hot~, but I know it can be better with all of them! xD

Fierce Junda...

...and cute Junda. I love the small smiles.

ASDLFKJAÇÃPVSAJVÇZKXS Too-cute-for-you Junda moment alert! Junno's 8D face just after pointing to Tatchan makes me 8DDD It's like he's saying "This is the coolest guy around and he's my bff!!!" xD

Then a Kameda moment with Kame's gesturing hand. I wonder if he used his hand in order not to grope Tatchan? *bricked*

Cute but a little creepy Kame after singing 'yay'~ YAAAAAAY!!

I'll pretend I didn't see Tatchan ninja-ing his way in this pic.

Here I always think 'DOOOORK!!!111!!!!!' instead of 'sexy'~ xDDD

STOP EATING YOUR MIC, KOKI. It is self-explanatory why. Also, good thing that he already got rid of that heinous overcoat. BTW, I love this shirt.

Maru is definitively laughing. The question is, what did Koki do? xD

Sometimes I wonder if Tatchan still knows the gestures... I can't remember the last time I've seen him doing it.

Fierce.

High note uuuuunf. I wonder if Tatchan's sex face is like this.

HANDS UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP!!!!

TOO.CUTE.FOR.WORDS. ADLKFJASDFJASLKDFJAÇLSDHOAIFOWNCMXHSDFAUHSDAH

Summary: I was afraid that their Real Face performance would loose some of its power with Jin's absence, but thankfully the boys proved me totally wrong. Also they did a lot of pair fanservice and cute poses, which is always a plus. I'm very satisfied!

INTRO SECTION

As usually happens with KAT-TUN, dancing is never synchronized.

Kame is a diva.

Junno makes a cool pointing pose.

Naughty boy's intro. xD

Our favorite MC. Please note his perfect hands and fingers.

Some hot Junki moment~ >///<

We all already knew it was coming... Iriguchi, deguchi, Taguchi desu~! 8D

More cool pointing. I love the ring in his second finger!

Zenzen kikoenee :´|

Yoku dekimashita~ :´D  I'd do anything for his smile, I swear.

Intense Kame is intense! ( O__O ) And already so sweaty.

This is totally stupid, but I find adorable how Tatchan inflates his cheek when making the "Wooh" callings. Maybe it's because I think he seems like a very cute frog? Or maybe because I do the same when I'm blowing the heat away from my food. xD

Annnnd more failed synchronized dancing! But that's one of the reasons we love them. 8D

ONE DROP

I must confess I was totally blown by Kokame's opening duet. I wasn't expecting it to sound so cool and good and SALSJDHFAKHDOÇÇLKASF IEDK too awesome. >///////<

I think Koki did a wonderful job of singing Jin's lines. All I can think now is 'WHY DIDN'T HE SING MORE BEFOARRRRR???"

Lovely Kameda duet with Maru by their side  :´)

Kiss for you, too, bb~ ♪(^ε^)チュッ

Summary: Loved the choice of distributing Jin's parts to Koki and Tatchan -- it worked very well! Koki tends to sing some lines a little rougher, but I think it's for additional expression and doesn't sound bad even when he's forcing his voice. Also liked how Kame extended the final 'o-wooh' or whatever, I don't really know the right sounds.

Keep the faith

You know what, I think it's incredible to think that this the same guy who sang 'Samurai Love Attack'. Junno improved a lot over the years, and now he has such a beautiful tone~

I also think that there's nothing more just than having him sing the main lines, since he co-starred Yuukan Club. I'm so proud of him~~ *happy tears*

Kame is starting to feel happy. And when he's happy, the fangirls are happy too. xD

More fierce Kame and Ueda. Maru's nose was eaten by Kame'ss fluffy hairdo.

I love it when they start to take their clothes off. I bet it's not only Koki who feels hot right now~~~ >/////<

Tatchan also wants to rap, Koki. Please give the guy some lines~ Although I fear for how it'd come out... xDDD

Tatchan's 'Keep za faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~'♪♪♪♪ makes funny things to my panties.

I have absolutely no idea of what they wanted here, but I found it awesome and cute. Or awesomely cute. Or cutely awesome. Whatever. They look cute, dork and hot at the same time, I really don't know how they pull it.

Summary: A powerful performance, as always. Junno was wonderful and I didn't miss anything, except the 'Sweetie' line ( ;___; )  I think that NOT doing it makes me realize more that Jin isn't here and won't ever more be and then I go back to my emo-ing corner. ( TT____TT )

THE D-MOTION

I must confess that I didn't like this song when it was released at first. Maybe because I wasn't used to that much auto-tuning, and I'm not fan of the 'club' feel. But as everything else that involves KAT-TUN, I just kept on listening and suddenly I realized I was loving this music. ♥

Pseudo-robotic movements and lasers never were this much fun.

I just *love* it when they start to play with the lines, be it the lyrics or the melody. It gives a very natural, unique feeling to the performance. I wish they did it more~

EVERYBODY LET ME HEAR THE NOIZ!

To be true, much of it is due to Maru's awesome "BOOM BOOM" -- IDK why, but it's very compelling to me. The first time I watched this performance, I swear I screamed at this part and was taken by his sight. Ah, the mysteries of the great General Nakamaru. ( ♥o♥ )

FEEL THE BEAT I BUSTED THAT BURNING UP UR BODY BIIIIITCH~ xD I love how sexy Koki looks pumping his chest. >/////<

Sorry for the extra blurry caption. D8

And then...

ASLDHFAÇSDJFHAKSJJHUWSLVKNAKALÇKOIVNWUIJKASKDFJHASJDBAIAWUBKAJSDB WHY DOES KAME DO THIS WITH MEEEEE???? *nosebleeds to death*

They're actually trying to dance, how cute. xD

For me, in spite of Kame-chan's sexy sexy dancing, Koki was the man that owned this music. I think KTUN also recognize this and bow down to him. ( ^__~ )

Kame likes very much lo let the audience scream like the crazy fangirls they are sing.

Koki was totally checking Kame's ass here. But then, who wouldn't? xDDD  Also, some Junno wild dancing. ♥

I don't know WTF Koki is doing here.

I liked the change in lyrics~ And just one second of Maru's handpr0n. 8D  I can never get too much of them.

(Love Tatchan's smile. Love.)

Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!! >/////////////////////////////<  Talking about hands, how I wish I was Kame's right one~

LOL @ Ueda being completely out of it. But that's one of the reasons why I love him. ♥♥♥

The final bit was AWESOME!!!!! I just went alçsdnlanvsoihfaoajaçkjshdf at Maru and Kame's duet, going higher and higher until hitting the final note. I was totally blown. ♪~♪ d(⌒o⌒)b ♪~♪

Summary: I thought I couldn't like this song more. I was wrong. Fun, sexy and entrancing. I'll certainly get a mp3 rip of this one later.

Love yourself ~君が嫌いな君が好き~

And the first thing I notice is...

... Maru's shining fine behind. But his pants are kinda tight, so it's totally understandable, right? xD

Insert obligatory fangirl scream.

Maruda!!!~♥ But WTH is that gesture Maru does? Some kind of alien code meaning 'I fancy you too'?

Denden got jealous and resolved to make their own cute moment 8D  Their stares are so full of affection!

Pointing and winking is a way of communication simpler then obscure alien coding.

This bit of dancing is so cool!!! Shiny pants are shining.

ALERT Playful Koki spotted!!! Your options are:
a. hug him
b. lick that naughty finger
c. get on your knees and beg for his love
d. all of the above

What is Junno counting? Two and then five? xD   Doesn't matter, bb, we know how cool you are.

OBLIGATORY SMILING!TATCHAN FANGIRLING!!!! I love love love love love his smile. It always melts my heart, without fail. ~( ♥o♥ )~

Although I find the combo of Koki's rap with Maru's beatbox a killer, I admit that since that Shounen Club episode I've been dying to hear Maru sing 'I'm singing my love for you' etc etc once more, because IT WAS TOO FUCKING GOOD. ( ç__ç )  But I think this version is good, too.

Kame's right arm mole. Kame's neck. Kame's hands. Kame's teeth. Kame's hair. How can he be so smexy doing nothing?

Now at least he's doing something. ( *__* ) Fuck.

And then he's cute as the good ol' turtle he is. ♥

Maru finishes the song. I think he's very into this beat. No, I didn't take this shot because of his hands. *bricked*

Summary: I like this song and the performance was good, and now the guys finally seem more relaxed~ :-) Also, more pairings = more love = more happy fangirls.
