http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/05/02/times.square.closure/index.html That area is always crowded by pedestrians and cars, and so I'm just really really thankful that the bomb was discovered before anything happened. New York City is actually unswayed by this attempt though, as by the time I left work tonight, it looked as though nothing has ever happened.
What annoys me, however, is the rumor that the city would cut down the numbers of NYPDs and fire fighters in the city.... to save budget. If this turns out to be true and on-going plan, I think that's really ridiculous...especially after all these times when terrorism warning level still remaining high. I don't think now is the time to reduce numbers... and I wish they'd heighten the security level on the subways. Honestly.... I'm surprised how careless these subway systems are...man.
