http://youtube.com/watch?v=RlJYDSWuvt0 I think this AMV's hot (Gintama).
It's not until really recent (like few days ago) that I discovered that Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (When Cicadas Cry) is
actually a horror/suspense story.
Its 'cutey' art style is misleading.
Then I saw its official website and now it's obvious that it's horror.

As there has been some disturbing murders (involving axes) committed by young students, this show has been canceled for time being. While I do understand why media wants to blame disturbing occurrences on unpleasant anime and games, I also think it's not really what needs to be done. That doesn't resolve anything.
What I think should be considered more carefully is, if people are indeed inspired (...okay, that's not a great word to use here, but...) by such violent/creepy anime and games, then what should be focus more is what's in those people's mind that makes them easily confuse fiction from reality...rather than outwardly poking their fingers at 'entertainment'.
What's in their mind ...what makes them want to act out disturbing scenes...what drove them to become that way... How were there lives like...
In short, look back at the way society is!!
Because, in the end, what affects people a lot is not fictitious anime or games or movie's world...it's society that they live in.
