Huge Smoke in NYC Now I know what it was but....
When we saw the smoke rising from Manhattan, it was seriously bad for my heart.
I thought of the worst.
I hate to see huge smokes in the huge city nowadays.
.....Seriously.
Edit:So luckily the subway to Manhattan was working, and with a short trek through Manhattan, I could safely return home/. The amazing thing that i noticed is how New Yorkers become 'one' at times like this--many people are willing to help out others and guide them to avoide the police-blocked streets and such. You hardly see people left behind looking confused/frustrated.
So, apparently...the steam explosion had 5-10(or more) people injured.
I often heard "Oh, i was thinking of the worst(terrorism), and I'm glad it wasn't" sort of talk, but C'MON PEOPLE. It was still a big accident involving injuries!! I just thought that kind of thinking is strange...
