Yay!

Sometime this year, or late last year, I misplaced my embroidery scissors. These are my good stork-handled ones that my grandparents gave me for Christmas the year I got back into cross stitch seriously (probably 1996, maybe earlier), that are only ever used for thread and fabric, so are still very sharp. I was convinced I left them at eggwhite's place, and I'd looked at mine, but neither of us could find them. I was hoping that they'd turn up when we got all his stuff out of his place. In the meantime, I've been using the decent paper scissors that I bought last year that are still sharp.

I found them tonight!

I was pulling something out from under my bed, and there at the back, I caught a glint of gold. Lo and behold, it was my embroidery scissors. I am so pleased and relieved and delighted.
