The dance floor was hot, the music was hot, the body currently pressed closely to her in the throng of people was clearly on fire and Faith couldn't remember the last time she had been so caught up in the music or her dance partner. Granted, Cordelia didn't have much choice in how close she stood to the lithe brunette, as the dance floor did not allow for them to have more than a few inches away from each other. And Faith knew for a fact that Cordelia, very much like herself, simply could not stand still when a beat was running through her body. But the close, sweaty, highly-intoxicating dance moves they were currently sharing could probably have been avoided. The Slayer ached to adhere to her old principle of 'Want, take, have' as Cordelia swayed strong hips against her own to the rhythm of the music. Catching a similarly predatory look on the seer's face, Faith feigned thirst and almost ran for the VIP area. She was not ready for this.

Stealing the only available bar stool she grabbed her mojito and tried desperately to clear her head from the images flooding her system. Angel appeared next to her almost immediately, greeting her while carefully keeping his eyes on the dance floor. “She looks beautiful tonight,” he said, flashing her a brief smile. Faith grunted her agreement and took a long sip of her drink. “I forgot how much she loved to dance,” she said. “And no doubt how good she was at it,” the vampire pitched in with a grin. Giving Angel a wry smile, she brought the glass to her mouth again and cursed when she found it empty. Angel had already called the bartender over for a refill and she gave him a grateful look. Always the gentleman.

Six mojitos and twelve songs later Faith was feeling a lot better about herself. She was able to dance with Cordelia without the instant need to devour her, though she did enjoy rubbing their pelvises together whenever she got the chance. Being slightly intoxicated let her send appreciative glances at the older woman without feeling awkward. The heated stares she got in return Faith ascribed to the amount of alcohol Cordelia had taken in alongside her. “Well, I need a break,” she told the gorgeous seer, “time to go sit down for a bit.” She turned away from Cordelia and headed towards the group at the table, sagging heavily in a chair. “Great party,” she shouted to Lorne. He gave her the thumbs up and then continued his tour of the club.

Faith zoned out a little bit just letting the music swirl around her as she enjoyed her drink. The guys were discussing something work-related but she refused to get involved. Tonight was all about getting some well-earned R&R and she intended to keep it that way. A pair of legs making their way up the stairs caught her attention. Black stiletto heels took step by slow step as Faith allowed her eyes to climb up slowly over perfect calves and shapely thighs before following the sway of luscious hips up past full breasts to an absolutely mesmerizing face. Cordelia made her way straight to her, placing a leg on either side of hers before sitting on Faith's lap, facing her with a wicked glint in her eyes. Soft hands suddenly took hold of Faith's cheeks and perfect, plump lips made their way to hers, slipping against them softly, insistently. As Cordelia pulled her in closer Faith felt all thoughts fade from her mind, the simple pleasure of the seer's lips on her own too overpowering.

Cordelia licked Faith's bottom lip, begging for entry. Faith complied and immediately felt the woman's lush tongue dominating her mouth in a way that had her panties in a mess in seconds. The Slayer groaned. The reverberations sent chills down Cordelia's back. Hardly taking the time to breathe Cordelia continued to lavish intense kisses on Faith's mouth. Faith's hands had encircled her waist and were currently plying and massaging her back while pulling her impossibly closer, almost as if the Slayer wished for them to merge into a single being. Meanwhile, Cordelia's hands had made their way into Faith's hair, pulling and kneading as she continued to kiss the young woman.

A low grumble next to the women made them pull apart. Faith noticed that Spike was leaning over the table not far away, arms crossed and clearly enjoying the show. Gunn was talking animatedly to a girl a little distance away and clearly was more invested in that conversation than the girls' intimate moment. Angel, however, with full-blown embarrassed look, kindly told the girls that they'd be heading home soon and perhaps they would like to continue this particular conversation later? As if suddenly mortified by her actions Cordelia practically jumped off Faith's lap and, with a quick apology to the brunette, grabbed her things to head out to the van. A highly-confused Faith just stared after her as Cordelia all but ran down the stairs. Huh, imagine that, she thought sarcastically.
