nothing like the threat of imminent employment (plus the need to procrastinate packing and so forth -- although I did get a lot done and took a lot of stuff to the thrift store yesterday -- plus my angelic husband has offered to do most of the packing) to get the creative juices flowing!
For my friend I made an Oogly Googly:
I was very attached to him and had a hard time giving him away, actually.
Initially I was going to give him to her daughter, but she (the daughter) is at an age when she sticks things in her mouth, and I didn't think sucking on wool would be very nice either for her or for the Oogly.
I made my bunny a habitat:
And I finally finished plying and setting the twist of my Halloween yarn! It is called "Noche de las brujas".
If your name is Holly, you probably recognize some of this fiber. ;)
And here is the picture I submitted to the Yarn Museum!
Edited to add: I almost forgot this terrible picture of a little bird I made out of Holly Eqq's merino! I like felting the uncarded merino, it has a totally different texture, and there are more color variations, so it's more naturalistic and pretty! (the sky and grass in the bunny habitat are made out of the merino too, btw).
