Sweater!

This started off as Leaflet, from Knitty (http://knitty.com/ISSUEff11/PATTleaflet.php). I felt like since it was in an Aran weight wool, it made more sense as a long-sleeved buttoning sweater, so that is what I did with it. I made it out of some amazing yarn I got at SAFF (Bovidae farms worsted weight, which it appears you can't buy online, only at their farm store or at fiber festivals). Here is a nice blog entry about going to their farm. I am amused to note that some comments on the entry seem to be from people who think it is the farm's official site. http://zarzuelaknitsandcrochets.com/blog/?p=261

I really love this yarn. It is a nice toothy 2-ply and is light and fluffy. It's a very farmy sort of wool, with lots of bits of hay in it and so much lanolin it made my needles oily. The yarn is irregularly spun and some of the twistier bits were a little abrasive while being knitted, but the finished fabric is soft and bouncy. I can't seem to take a picture that does the color justice, but it's fuchsia and blue wool carded together to make a lovely violet (incidentally, I had a small crisis at SAFF where I was like "But I can't get purple! I always get purple!" and tried to talk myself into getting a different color and then was like "fuck it, I like purple!"). Plus, the price is really good; 8$ for a 4 oz/210 yards skein.
I bought 6 skeins and used 4 and a little bit of a 5th one for binding off. Any ideas of what to do with the leftover yarn?

The pattern is really good, I mentioned my issues with it above, but they are matters of personal preference. It's easy to follow and obviously quick to knit! There was possibly an error but whether it was on my part or on the part of the pattern I would not like to say, but anyway, when I finished the waist shaping I was not on the row of the lace chart the pattern said I would be on. It wasn't a big deal, though.
I made the top button hole too high, I fucking hate things touching my neck. But there's no one to blame but me for that.

So anyway, here's the sweater!

It could stand to be blocked.
